McMai Terms of Service
Effective date: August 20, 2026
Last updated: August 21, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of McMai (the "Service"), operated by Chips Team from Mainland China.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the McMai Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
McMai is a free, non-commercial, unofficial fan-made tool that provides rhythm-game-related data retrieval, display, analysis, statistics, community, and related functionality through mcmai.moev.cc, id.moev.cc, and supported social networking or messaging platforms.
McMai does not accept donations, display paid advertising, sell subscriptions, or conduct monetary transactions with users.
McMai is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or sponsored by SEGA or any other game publisher, platform provider, music publisher, record label, artist, or rights holder.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 12 years old and meet the minimum age required by each platform and third-party service you use with McMai.
If you are under 14, you may use McMai only with the informed consent and supervision of your parent or legal guardian. By permitting a user under 14 to use McMai, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on that user's behalf.
3. Acceptance and Account Binding
General use of McMai constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Features involving account credentials display the location of these Terms and the Privacy Policy before binding.
When you select or invoke a clearly labelled binding action after that notice is displayed, you:
- Request McMai to bind the account;
- Confirm that you are authorized to use the account;
- Consent to the processing and storage of the credentials and related player data as described in the Privacy Policy;
- Accept the risks associated with using an unofficial third-party tool with the relevant game network.
If you do not agree, do not initiate binding or submit credentials.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- Submit credentials only for an account that you own or are expressly authorized to use;
- Keep your own platform, game-network, and McMai authentication information secure;
- Review and use privacy settings appropriate for you;
- Provide accurate information where accuracy is necessary for the Service;
- Comply with applicable laws and the terms of the third-party platforms and game networks you use.
You understand that providing credentials to McMai authorizes Chips Team to use them only to access your account and retrieve data on your behalf. Your authorization does not constitute authorization, approval, or endorsement from SEGA or another third-party operator.
5. Public Profiles and Rankings
McMai profiles are public by default. Other users may query public player information, and eligible accounts may appear in public rankings. Depending on your settings, public information may include your username, profile elements, rating, scores, and other game statistics.
McMai provides controls for hiding supported fields. You are responsible for reviewing these settings. McMai does not intentionally make public profiles available for search-engine indexing, but cannot guarantee that information made public will never be copied or indexed by third parties.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use credentials belonging to another person without authorization;
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity or authority;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to McMai, its databases, servers, APIs, administrative systems, or another user's data;
- Bypass or attempt to defeat authentication, security controls, rate limits, access restrictions, suspensions, or bans;
- Interfere with, overload, disrupt, damage, probe, or reverse engineer McMai infrastructure except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Use automated clients in a manner that degrades or abuses the Service;
- Upload, submit, or distribute content that you do not have the right to use;
- Use McMai to violate applicable law or third-party rights;
- Sell, resell, sublicense, monetize, or commercially exploit access to McMai or data obtained from it without written authorization from Chips Team.
We may rate-limit, restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, third-party rights, or platform integrity.
7. User-Submitted Content
If you submit a username, image, profile element, feedback, or other content, you represent that you have the right to submit it for the requested purpose.
You grant Chips Team a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to receive, process, reproduce, and display that content only as necessary to operate McMai and provide the feature you requested. This license ends when the content and related account data are deleted, except to the extent temporary technical processing has already completed or minimum security records must lawfully be retained.
Submitted screenshots used for OCR are processed in memory and are not persistently stored by McMai. The social networking or messaging platform through which you submit content may retain its own copy.
8. Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, security, disclosure, and deletion practices are described in the McMai Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
You may use McMai's self-service deletion function or contact support@moev.cc regarding privacy and data-rights requests.
9. Intellectual Property
McMai's original code, documentation, text, and original visual elements are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and applicable software licences.
Game titles, trademarks, service marks, artwork, characters, interface materials, music, musical works, sound recordings, cover images, charts, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. No ownership of third-party content is claimed by Chips Team.
Unless otherwise stated, third-party game-related resources made available through McMai are obtained from sources that were publicly accessible on the Internet at the time of collection. Public accessibility does not mean that such materials are free of copyright, related rights, licence restrictions, or other third-party rights.
Any reference to a third-party game, platform, company, artist, or work is for identification and interoperability purposes and does not imply affiliation, endorsement, authorization, or sponsorship.
Open-source components and third-party software remain subject to their respective licences and notices.
10. Copyright Complaints
If you are a rights holder or an authorized representative and believe that material made available through McMai infringes your rights, contact support@moev.cc.
Please include:
- Your name and contact information;
- Identification of the protected work or material;
- Identification and location of the material within McMai;
- An explanation of your rights or authority to act for the rights holder;
- The action you request;
- Any supporting information reasonably necessary to evaluate the complaint.
Chips Team will review sufficiently detailed and credible complaints in good faith. Our target is to provide an initial response within 14 days. We may request additional information before taking action.
After verification, we may remove or disable access to the material, restrict the relevant feature, or discontinue an entire feature where necessary. Affected contributors or users may submit an explanation or evidence supporting authorized use. We may permanently remove repeatedly infringing material and suspend users who repeatedly submit infringing content.
Nothing in this process requires Chips Team to keep disputed material available while a complaint is reviewed.
11. Third-Party Services and Risks
McMai depends on third-party platforms, networks, and content sources that Chips Team does not control. Those parties may modify or discontinue access, change technical interfaces, restrict automated tools, suspend accounts, remove content, or take other action under their own terms.
Your use of McMai may be restricted by the terms of a game network or platform. Chips Team does not promise that use of McMai is permitted by every third-party service, or that a third party will not suspend or terminate an account because of such use.
McMai may remove content or discontinue functionality in response to a complaint, platform requirement, technical change, security concern, or legal risk.
12. Availability and Changes
McMai is provided as a free community service. We do not guarantee that any feature, data source, platform integration, or content will remain available.
We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including without prior notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, platform compliance, copyright complaints, legal risk, maintenance, or service stability.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, McMai is provided "as is" and "as available." Chips Team makes no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, accurate, or permanently available.
Game data may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or changed by its original source. McMai is not an official score record and should not be relied on where an official determination is required.
No statement in these Terms excludes any warranty, duty, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chips Team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from:
- Inability to access or use the Service;
- Inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable third-party data;
- Suspension or termination by a third-party platform or game network;
- Removal of content or discontinuation of a feature;
- User misuse, unauthorized credential sharing, or violation of these Terms;
- Events outside Chips Team's reasonable control.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or other non-excludable legal duties.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, infringe third-party rights, abuse the Service, or interfere with other users.
You may stop using McMai at any time. You may also unbind your account or use the self-service deletion function described in the Privacy Policy.
Termination of access does not automatically require Chips Team to retain personal data. Data will be handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mainland China, without designating a specific court as the exclusive forum.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or protections that cannot be waived under applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, third-party requirements, security practices, or applicable law. The updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date and last-updated date. Material changes may also be announced through the Service.
Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires an additional form of notice or consent.
The English version of these Terms is the authoritative version.
